In a twisted version of “Think Globally, Act Locally,’’ Big Oil, Big Coal, and the biggest representative of American industries, the US Chamber of Commerce, continue to buy paralysis.

What impotence: the best Jackson can do is wag his figure at Obama to wave his magic wand and change "business as usual" in Congress. It's a call for twice-removed action. If Jackson had any measure of the enormity of this issue he would be using his platform for more productive ends.
